Bamboo stands beautifully, straight and smooth, and its presence is heart-stopping.

I was drawn to this presence of bamboo and entered the path of bamboo crafts.

Until now, I have been creating items based on their utility in daily life.

However, through meeting various people and encountering different ways of thinking, my feelings towards creation have changed.

Recently, I have been working on objects that I conceive from the “forms” I want to create.

 

This change in my feelings was a significant event for me, so I made it the theme of this exhibition.

This time, I am pleased to announce my first solo exhibition in Tokyo, “My KATACHI.”

 

In Roppongi, I will exhibit my representative works, and in Ginza, I will focus on new works. Through these two exhibitions, I hope you can feel the changes in my approach to creation. Please visit both venues.
